Motor Speech Disorders
Motor speech disorders involve difficulty planning, coordinating, or controlling the movements needed for clear speech. This may result in slurred, slow, or inconsistent speech production. Therapy focuses on improving speech clarity, coordination, and consistency through structured exercises, repetitive practice, pacing strategies, and functional communication tasks that carry over into daily conversations.

Stroke Rehabilitation
After a stroke, individuals may experience challenges with speaking, understanding language, reading, writing, cognition, or swallowing. Therapy is highly individualized and focuses on rebuilding lost skills while also teaching compensatory strategies. The goal is to restore functional communication, support safe swallowing when needed, and maximize independence in everyday life activities.

Parkinson’s Disease
Parkinson’s disease often affects voice volume, speech clarity, facial expression, and swallowing. Therapy targets reduced vocal loudness, monotone speech, and imprecise articulation. We also address swallowing safety and efficiency. Treatment helps individuals improve communication confidence and maintain participation in social, family, and professional environments.

Swallowing Disorders
Swallowing disorders (dysphagia) can affect safety and comfort during eating and drinking. Symptoms may include coughing during meals, difficulty managing textures, or sensation of food sticking. Therapy focuses on improving muscle coordination, strengthening swallowing function, and recommending safe strategies or diet modifications when needed to reduce risk and improve nutrition.

Stuttering
Stuttering involves disruptions in the natural flow of speech, such as repetitions, prolongations, or blocks. Adults may also experience physical tension or anxiety when speaking. Therapy addresses both speech techniques and emotional aspects of communication, helping individuals increase fluency, reduce avoidance behaviors, and build confidence in all speaking situations.

Cognitive Decline (Brain Fog, Chemo Brain, Long COVID)
Cognitive changes may include reduced attention, slowed thinking, memory lapses, difficulty finding words, or mental fatigue. These challenges can affect work performance and daily functioning. Therapy focuses on cognitive exercises, environmental modifications, and compensatory strategies to improve organization, focus, and overall cognitive efficiency.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
A TBI can impact speech, language, memory, attention, reasoning, and emotional regulation. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs and recovery stage. We work on rebuilding cognitive-communication skills, improving problem-solving abilities, and developing strategies to support independence at home, work, and in the community.

Accent Reduction
Accent modification focuses on improving speech clarity and intelligibility rather than eliminating a native accent. Therapy targets pronunciation patterns, rhythm, stress, intonation, and speech pacing. The goal is to enhance communication effectiveness and confidence in professional, academic, and social interactions while honoring linguistic identity.

LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment)
LSVT is an intensive, evidence-based therapy program primarily used for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. It focuses on increasing vocal loudness, improving speech clarity, and strengthening respiratory support. The structured approach promotes consistent practice and helps generalize improved communication into daily life situations.

Memory Improvement
Memory therapy focuses on strengthening recall abilities and improving day-to-day functioning. Strategies may include association techniques, visualization, repetition, note-taking systems, and digital or written reminders. The goal is to enhance independence, reduce frustration, and support success in work, home, and social environments.

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
MCI involves noticeable changes in memory or thinking skills that are greater than expected for age but not severe enough to significantly disrupt independence. Therapy focuses on maintaining cognitive function, slowing progression through stimulation activities, and introducing compensatory strategies to support daily routines and safety.

Auditory Processing Disorders (Adults)
Auditory processing disorders affect how the brain interprets and makes sense of sounds, especially in noisy or fast-paced environments. Individuals may struggle with following conversations, remembering spoken information, or distinguishing similar sounds. Therapy focuses on auditory training exercises, listening strategies, and environmental modifications to improve communication success.

Our treatment plans include:

Initial Evaluation, Interpretation & Recommendations
Services begin with a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a licensed speech-language pathologist. This includes assessment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, or swallowing function as appropriate. Results are carefully interpreted, and clear, individualized recommendations are provided to guide treatment and support informed decision-making.

Customized Evidence-Based Therapy Plan
Each client receives a personalized therapy plan grounded in current, evidence-based research. Goals are tailored to individual needs, daily communication demands, and medical history. Therapy is designed to be functional, measurable, and focused on improving independence and quality of life across home, work, and community settings.

Clinically Supervised Home Program
To support consistent progress, clients are provided with structured home programs that are clinically designed and supervised. These programs reinforce skills practiced in therapy sessions and help integrate strategies into real-life routines, improving carryover and long-term outcomes.

Collaboration with Medical Professionals
When appropriate, we coordinate care with physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare providers. This collaborative approach ensures continuity of care, supports accurate diagnosis, and promotes the most effective and well-rounded treatment planning.

Patient & Family Support
We prioritize ongoing education, guidance, and support for both patients and families. This includes clear communication about progress, strategies for daily use, and resources to help individuals feel confident and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.
